Stentor Student I viola

Since 1960, more than a million young musicians have started their musical journeys with Stentor instruments. The Student I is an entry-level viola outfit that has been consistently praised by teachers, students, and parents for its reliable performance and mature, consistent tone. This viola will easily see beginners through to grade 5.

The body of the Stentor Student I is hand carved from solid tone woods that produce a warmer, more natural tone than laminate materials. A rosewood fingerboard and matching pegs give the viola a classic look and the black painted finish offers a sleek playing surface, making it easier for new players to master their instrument.

It is fitted with a sturdy bridge and robust metal tailpiece with integral adjusters for simple fine tuning. The beautifully finished wooden chin rest is securely fixed and positioned for maximum player comfort. Each viola also features decorative inlaid purfling on the edges of the instrument, providing extra protection from minor bumps and dings.

A traditional wooden bow with natural horse hair and an ebony frog is included along with a block of rosin, and everything comes in a lightweight protective case with detachable shoulder straps. The outfit is available in two sizes to ensure that students of any age will be able to play comfortably. Ask your teacher to recommend the right size for you.
