Izzo Castle samba classroom packs

The IZZO Castle samba pack is the perfect starter set for a newly formed samba band and the colourful, lightweight aluminium drums are especially suited to young players. Built to the same exacting standards as all IZZO products, this bundle would also make an admirable low-cost expansion pack for larger and more established samba ensembles.

It features the Brazilian manufacturer’s famous single-headed Castle surdos, which nest neatly inside each other like a Russian doll to save storage space and make them easy to transport. To make up for the lack of bottom skins, every drum is skinned with a top of the range black napa head that produces a deep rounded sound when struck with the large beaters.

Each of the smaller tamborim and pandeiro drums are made with ABS plastic shells to ensure a long life and pinging tone. They are traditionally hit with hard plastic sticks and used to play the more rhythmically complex high pitched lines.
