Buffet E12F Bb clarinet

Since 1825, Buffet have been producing top quality clarinets for players of all abilities. Every one of their instruments is hand-crafted and each is thoroughly tested before being leaving their workshop. The E12F, introduced in 2012, is a solid wood Bb model designed for intermediate clarinettists. Its exceptionally versatile and resonant tone provides everything a student will need to complete the higher grades.

It is made from a solid piece of grenadilla, a strong African blackwood renowned for its tonal qualities and often used to build high-end clarinets and oboes. This is treated and lacquered with a water-based varnish which prevents cracking in extreme temperatures and beautifully sets off the natural wood grain.

Leather pads are a notable feature of the E12F as they are long lasting and particularly effective in providing an airtight seal over the tone holes. The instrument is finished with silver-plated keywork and mechanisms with screwed pillars which increase the overall strength and response. On the back of the clarinet there is an adjustable thumb rest with a ring for attaching a neck strap. This allows young players to distribute the weight of the instrument and adjust the perfect playing position as they grow.

The outfit is supplied with a lightweight backpack-style case with straps and large front accessory pocket, a Vandoren strength 2.5 reed, thumb rest cushion, pull-through cleaning cloth, and soft felt pad-dryer.
