3/4 sized steel string electro acoustic guitar with cutaway
Please select instrument options
The APXT2 electro-acoustic guitar is a 3/4 sized version of Yamaha’s best-selling APX500II model. This reduced size makes it the ideal guitar for young students with a short reach, or for more advanced players looking for a space saving travel companion.
It is made from meranti wood with a solid spruce top and a robust nato neck. The body shape is a scaled down twin of the larger model featuring a cutaway for easy access to the high frets and a wide oval soundhole for better low end projection. Both the fingerboard and bridge are constructed using durable rosewood.
Like all Yamaha acoustic electric guitars, the APXT2 features innovative ART (Acoustic Resonance Transducer) electronics with contact pickups which provide an extremely accurate reproduction of the instrument’s tone when amplified. The system’s control panel is located on the guitar’s shoulder and includes a built-in chromatic tuner and EQ as well as tone and volume knobs. The active preamp requires 2 AA batteries (included) and there is a little light on the control panel that will tell you when they need to be replaced.
A padded gig bag is included in the box along with a hex wrench for truss rod adjustments, and the guitar comes strung ready to play with 6 steel strings.
