Chord’s CAB41 is an entry level P-Bass style electric bass guitar for beginners that would make an excellent choice for new students on a tight budget. Its simple robust design provides an easy playability and surprisingly versatile tone making the CAB41 suitable for any genre of music.
The bass guitar’s body is made from alder wood that produces a solid deep tone with good sustain. A hard-wearing maple neck is securely bolted on and features a smooth rosewood fingerboard with 21 large frets and white dot inlays for navigation. Rosewood is an ideal material for fingerboard as its naturally oily surface is both comfortable for and resistant to damage from prolonged contact with skin.
A split coil humbucker pickup is screwed into the body halfway between the bridge and neck joint. The tone transmitted by this noise cancelling pickup can be controlled via two control knobs located next to the front loading ¼” jack socket on the scratchplate – one for master tone and one for volume.
All the bass guitar’s hardware is made from chrome, including vintage style open geared tuning machineheads, domed tone/volume knobs, and a sturdy fixed bridge with adjustable saddles. Each guitar comes strung with a set of entry level bass strings, but no case or other accessories are included.
