Portable combo amp for acoustic or classical guitars
Stagg’s 20AARUK amplifier is specially designed to reproduce the exact live sound of an acoustic instrument. In most cases this means steel strung acoustic guitars and nylon strung classical guitars, but its wide frequency response, facilitated by the presence of a coaxial tweeter, means it is also ideal for bowed upper strings, upper wind instruments, and even vocals.
Its portability makes it the perfect accessory for buskers, and it packs enough power to fill small concert venues. The cabinet is constructed from durable MDF with bump protectors on every corner and a closely woven grill cloth on the front. This sits on 4 rubber feet and can be carried around easily using the heavy-duty rubber strap on top.
Separate ¼” jack and balanced XLR inputs allow users to amplify both a guitar and a voice at the same time making the 20AARUK perfect for buskers and singer-songwriters, and there’s even a stereo ¼” auxiliary input for backing tracks. The final ¼” jack socket is for a set of headphones meaning musicians can practice at home without disturbing the neighbours.
The control panel is front facing and very easy to understand. It includes separate input levels for microphone and guitar, a 4-band EQ with sweepable parametric mid frequency, and a pad button that adapts to active or passive pickups. The last knob controls the onboard spring reverb effect, a useful feature that can recreate the ambience of any size of space from a small room to a cathedral.
