Complete ‘cello outfit for beginners
Please select instrument options
Stentor has been manufacturing cellos for nearly a century, and they know how important it is for new students to get started on a good quality instrument. The Student I ‘cello produces an excellent responsive tone for an instrument in its price bracket, and though aimed at beginners is also well suited to intermediate players.
Its body is built from solid panels of spruce and maple tone woods, each expertly carved and shaped by experienced Chinese luthiers. The rosewood fingerboard provides a comfortable playing surface and a lightweight composite tail piece is fitted with integral adjusters for quick and easy fine tuning. There is also decorative inlaid purfling around the whole ‘cello’s outer edge which creates an attractive appearance and protects the body from minor cracks and bumps.
The Student I violoncello is supplied as a complete outfit with a traditional brazilwood bow featuring an ebony frog and natural white horse hair, rosin, and a padded nylon case with accessory pocket. Shoulder straps are also provided, making it easy to transport the cello to and from lessons or orchestra rehearsals.
Available in a range of sizes, from 4/4 down to 1/16, the Stentor Student I is accessible to players of all ages – ask your ‘cello teacher if you’re unsure which size you should pick.
